Frequently Asked Questions

What could I expect to gain by taking TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid daily?

The B-12 dosage that you receive in our patented product is a therapeutic dosage. That means that it is a dosage level designed to bring about change—specifically a change in mood and increased energy levels. The amount in most multivitamins is simply a homeopathic dosage, which means it is designed to only maintain a base level and not produce change.

New Sublingual B-12s on the market are lower in cost and have a higher dosage. How is TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid better?

TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid is Dr. Libby’s original patented formula that has been tested for absorption. There may be other knock-off products on the market, but they do not use Dr. Libby’s proprietary process, and as a result you are not guaranteed that they will work as well. All of our products are manufactured under pharmaceutical grade conditions, and tested for quality. Chances are you may notice a difference immediately upon testing the other products. Most crumble under the tongue, which doesn’t allow for proper absorption. We've had customers try cheaper products and race back to us within several days because they “feel” the difference.

How do TriVita's Sublingual B-12 vitamin tablets compare with B-12 injections?

Dr. Libby developed the Sublingual B-12 so he would not have to continue giving his patients B-12 injections. Sublingual B-12 tablets contain 1000 mcg of vitamin B-12 and work as quickly as B-12 injections.

I noticed the instructions say, "DO NOT SWALLOW WHOLE." What would happen if someone accidentally forgot and did this?

Nothing bad will happen if you swallow the tablet; however, you will not receive the full benefits of the product because it would not be fully absorbed into your system.

Can I take more than one Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid tablet a day?

Yes, you may certainly take two a day. We recommend one in the morning and then one again at noon. Based upon the latest information from the FDA, there is no upper limit on B-12.

Can B-12 cause someone to lose sleep?

People react to B-12 in different ways. For some, it may cause increased energy, and as a result, should not be taken right before bedtime. Fortunately, the solution is simple. Take just 1 B-12 in the morning. That is the recommended dose on the box and should be enough to get through the day. If sleeping is still difficult, please cut the morning dosage in half.

Will TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid create problems with any of the medications I'm taking?

Typically, our product does not have negative reactions with medication. However, we recommend that you consult with a physician.

Does TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid help diabetics or are there any adverse effects?

B-12 is recommended for diabetics because they are at a higher risk for developing heart disease and other ailments. The only problem is that with diabetics it is going to be harder to see the results as far as energy and such, because blood sugar levels can affect mood, energy levels, etc. If a person's blood sugar is unstable, the effects of B-12 (though good) will not be as noticeable until the person's blood sugar is under good control. There are no adverse affects of taking B-12 and being diabetic, but as always, please consult with your physician.

Where does the color come from in TriVita’s Sublingual B-12, B-6 & Folic Acid?

The pink color is actually the natural color of the product. No artificial colorings are added.

What type of B-12 does your product contain?

The source for TriVita’s patented Sublingual B-12 is cyanocobalamin, which is derived through a fermentation process of cane molasses.
